Results of the draw of UEFA EURO-2012TM

Today at 19.00 in the Kiev National palace “Ukraine” there began the final draw of the European championship. The special guests at the ceremony of the final draw from Ukraine were The president of Ukraine Victor Janukovich, the prime minister Nikolay Azarov, the speaker of the Supreme Rada Vladimir Litvin, the vice-prime minister – the Minister of infrastructure of Ukraine Boris Kolesnikov. Besides, Kharkiv city mayor Gennady Kernes was present at the ceremony. There have arrived also All the coaches of 16 teams-participants also came there. The final draw was conducted by the UEFA secretary general Dzhanni Infantino.

By results of the taken place draw it became known, that the national team of Ukraine will play with the teams of Sweden, France and England at the group stage. The first match the Ukrainians will conduct in Kiev on the 11th of June against Sweden, the second match will take place on June, 15th in Donetsk against France, the third – on June, 19th in Donetsk against Englishmen.

Let’s remind, that before the draw 16 European national teams having won the right to participate in the tournament, were divided into four baskets four teams in each. Ukraine and Poland have automatically got into the first basket, and also the present champion of Europe Spain and the national team of Holland that has the highest rating among the teams. Germany, Italy, England and Russia were in the second basket. Croatia, Greece, Sweden and Portugal – in the third. France, Denmark, Ireland and Czech Republic – in the forth.
